Tracey Osier is in her first year as an assistant coach under Ruth Crowe. She works primarily with the outfielders and the slappers. Osier adds the element of having been a successful player and knowing what it took to get there as a team. The four year letterwinner at Massachusetts, where she was a member of four Atlantic 10 championship teams, two of which advanced to the 1997 and 1998 Women's College World Series. She finished her career with 103 stolen bases and a .346 batting average. The outfielder was a two-time all-Northeast selection (1996, 1998), all-Atlantic 10 pick (1995, 1998), and all-Atlantic 10 tournament honoree (1997, 1998). Osier was named to the 1998 NCAA all-Regional Team. Osier was also an assistant coach for Massachusetts for one year before coming to Iowa State. Osier graduated from Massachusetts in 1998 with a degree in family and consumer science. The Mattydale, N.Y., native prepped at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. A four-year starter at second base, Osier earned all-state honors her junior and senior season. Osier also earned New York Class-A player of the year accolades her senior year. |
